Overview

The ANCA Capital Gateway Program is designed to give qualified college students and graduates an opportunity to explore various part-time internship and full-time job opportunities in the nation's capital. Through the years, the ANCA has developed many relationships in and around Capitol Hill and identified a wide range of opportunities in the Washington, DC area. The ANCA Capital Gateway Program is designed to utilize these resources and contacts to help candidates identify and secure a permanent position or part-time internship that fits their interests and needs. The program also offers short-term housing to certain qualified applicants. To understand how you might best utilize this program, please read the options we offer below.

ANCA Leo Sarkisian Summer Internship Program.

The ANCA Leo Sarkisian Summer Internship program, now in its 24th year, provides student leaders and activists an opportunity to participate in an eight week intensive program designed to give them the tools necessary to effectively advance issues of concern to the Armenian American community on the federal, state and local level. This program requires a separate application process. Contact your ANCA regional office for more information or download an application:

ANCA Extended Internships

The ANCA accepts one intern per season at the ANCA office in Washington, DC. Applications are available only for the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons.

ANCA Externships

The externship program is for college students seeking interim positions on Capitol Hill. The extern would be assisted in finding a position on Capitol Hill.

University Internships

The Capital Gateway Program will help students seeking university programs that offer "Semester-In-Washington" find an internship on Capitol Hill that will serve their program's requirements.

Job Banking

We will assist professionals in finding permanent work in Washington by offering our job bank and networking resources.

ANCA Western Region Internship-Externship Program

The ANCA-WR Internship-Externship Program, in Glendale, CA, provides student leaders and activists with an opportunity to participate in an intensive program designed to provide an in-depth introduction to Armenian American issues as well as advocacy efforts on the federal, state and local level. The program operates a spring, summer, and autumn session. This program requires a separate application process. ANC Glendale Internship Program NEW!

The ANC Glendale Chapter Internship Program, in Glendale, CA, is an eight-week, part time leadership program geared towards driven high school seniors, college students, and recent college graduates who are interested in gaining an in-depth understanding of Armenian-American issues as well as advocacy efforts on the local level. In addition to networking with community leaders, candidates will participate in workshops featuring a variety of guest speaks, including public officials, ANC leadership, and specialists from the community.
